Battlefield 2: Complete Collection Pc Game
Discription
Today (yesterday) Battlefield 2: The Complete Collection arrived in the post.
I have been wanting to get this game for a long time, and a nice voucher from Zavvi helped bring the price to a lovely £3.56.
I have mentioned full games not living up to their demos before. The demo for UT2004 used the best maps from each of the game modes, this meant the full game was somewhat of a disappointment. I was slightly worried that Battlefield 2 would be the same, I’ll be sure to write something once I have had a chance to try the other maps.
In the mean time I thought I’d write a little about the map that came with the demo, and which was the first map I played once I got the full game, Gulf of Oman.
Battlefield 2 has a pretty good balance between vehicles and soldiers on foot, at least when it comes to playing with larger numbers. Other games that have done vehicles have often neglected to give them the room to operate, the Gulf of Oman is very big. It is also very open making it a challenge to survive the helicopters and planes, there are also just enough buildings to provide a challenge to the pilots.
The two sides on this map are the MEC (Middle Eastern Coalition) and the USMC (United States Marine Corps), not exactly the most tactful sides but that’s not a big issue.

"Battlefield 4" has been in development and has not been a secret since its beta was revealed last year, and now it looks like gamers know when they will be able to get their hands on the presumably next-generation title.
According to a report from GameSpot on Thursday, EA has revealed that they are indeed bringing a new "Battlefield" title to the industry next year.
EA game label president Frank Gibeau said the company will bring a new game next year, but can't say more quite yet.
"We have a 'Battlefield' title coming next year, but we're not in a position right now to talk about our development plans and our SKU plan long term.
"That will come in about 90 days when we get to show you some 'Battlefield' stuff," Gibeau said.
Back during November, "Battlefield" executive producer Patrick Bach talked about some of the risks involved with creating a new Intellectual Property (IP).
"'Battlefield 3' could have been released almost as a new game because there are so many differences [between it and its predecessors].
"But the problem then is that players seem to want sequels, they like the next iteration of the game they love, and even if people say they want new IPs, when new IPs arrive no one cares, they don't buy them, so I still don't understand why people see it as a problem when they're part of, they're creating the problem.
"I would love for people to buy new IPs and prove with their wallet what they mean, instead of blaming someone else. There's a big chunk of money you invest in games so you want at least your money back," Bach said.
